flexblock reap
Synopsis
Section titled “Synopsis”flexblock reap <ID>... [flags]Description
Section titled “Description”A daemon that dies leaves its ublk device quiesced in the kernel so that start can recover it. If you want different geometry or write durability instead, or the device belongs to a volume that no longer exists, the leftover device makes start refuse. reap stops such a device and removes its kernel registration.
Ids are bare numbers: reap 0 acts on /dev/ublkb0. reap touches only the kernel’s ublk device; the cache device and the volume are untouched. It needs root, but no current grant.
reap refuses a device a daemon is still serving (exit code 12). It prompts only with --allow-live.
| Flag | Default | Description |
|---|---|---|
--allow-live | — | Reap a device a daemon is still serving. Prompts unless -y is given. |
--dry-run | — | Print what would be reaped and exit. |
-y, --yes | — | Skip the confirmation prompt. |
